Emergency Lighting Systems

Product Description

Emergency LightingEmergency escape lighting is an important component of fire safety within a work place. Providing staff and visitors with an illuminated route could provide a valuable aid in life preservation.

With Hochiki we can provide one of the countries first addressable emergency light systems. It provides a low voltage, low maintenance, low carbon emission system.

The low voltage consumption allows for an emergency consumption of less than 5% compared to traditional lighting, along with less than 5% CO² emissions.

Maintenance costs are reduced also with the long life LED’s reducing the bulb change ratio to less than 1% of traditional lighting systems. With a keypad being the major part of the system, a service can be carried out quickly and easily.

Supply and Install:

  • Maintained or non-maintained (maintained lighting remains constantly illuminated via the mains, and in the event of a power failure the back-up batteries will keep the unit illuminated for one to three hours)
  • Bulkheads
  • Spotlights
  • Illuminated Signs

When our service engineers are on site, they will:

  • Inspect and test the batteries and charger (for central battery systems);
  • Test the operation of each light and confirm that it works efficiently for at least one hour; cleaning diffusers as required;
  • Every three years (unless otherwise stipulated by enforcing authority) test each lamp for full duration;
  • Take an insulation test of the cabling;
  • Carry out inspection of all areas of the premises and highlight recommendations to maintain/improve efficiency of the system;
  • Provide a service report as required under the British Standard Code of Practice.
