Suppression Systems
Fire suppression - a fire alarm system which upon detection of smoke or heat will release an agent, usually an inert gas or water mist stored in pressurized cylinders, in the direction of the triggered area.
This is ideal in many applications where the speedy tackling of a blaze is vital, such as computer rooms, factories, or vaults/strong rooms. This reduces down time and lets you get back to business as soon as possible. It also minimises the risks for firefighters and minimises water damage.
Jackson's offer you the best available fire suppression systems on the market today using FM-200. It is a synthetic fire suppression agent that extinguishes the fire by removing the free radicals or heat element of the fire triangle. The suppresion system works this way:
1. A fire in a protected area is sensed
2. The control unit performs a series of actions; shutting down ventilation systems and equipment, sounding alarms and starting the discharge of FM 200 into the protected area.
3. The FM-200 agent stored in the agent containers is propelled through piping and nozzles into the protected area.
4. FM-200 discharges a gas to all areas for the protected area, reaching 7% concentration in ten seconds and quickly suppressing the fire.
