Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishers
Due to their high auto-ignition temperatures, cooking oil fire are extremely difficult to extinguish. Consequently, conventional extinguishers are not generally effective for cooking oil fires because they do not cool the oil sufficiently and may cause flash back, so putting operators at risk.
6ltr Wet Chemical extinguishers have been developed to deal specifically with fire resulting from cooking oils and fats. It has the capability to fight fires in deep fat fryers of up to 75-litre capacity.
It contains a specially formulated wet chemical, which when applied to the burning liquid cools and emulsifies the oil, extinguishes the flame and seals the surface, preventing re-ignition.
